ROCKNEVENTS is seeking out-going, confident, and bold Event Production Manager who are looking for a sphere to work that motivates, challenges and inspires them on an ever-growing basis. A sphere where service comes from their inner-Spartans and not from a handbook. A sphere that vows impactful performances that will impact the lives of our members, fellow associates and growing list of producers around the world.

The vocation of an event manager at ROCKNEVENTS is to oversee all production and product aspect of our rockstar celebrations - produced by both internal producers and external rental members. The manager will work toe-to-toe with new and existing producers to ensure rentals, orders and shop details are stocked, packaged and ready to go ‘live,’ for every rock n’ celebration. The manager would work across multiple departments to coordinate, executive and teach the logistical details of internal and external events. Working closely with the ROCK X sales team and Event Manager -- the production manager will work directly with producers, groupies and sometimes clients to provide outstanding service and to ensure all events are to the RNE caliber.

  • Develops admin tools and content to enhance the company’s communication success using email templates, Asana conversations, calendar regulations and/or new developed tools

  • Conducts meetings with producers and new associates to ensure new employee expectations and satisfaction to meet the company’s quality standards in the sphere of ROCK X and Event Productions

  • Trains new employees using production details, rentals and event mockup tools

  • Sets high standards of performance for self and/or others; assumes responsibility for work objectives; initiates focuses, and monitors the efforts of self and/or others toward the accomplishment goals; proactively takes action and goes beyond what is required.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

  • Supervises, trains and schedules event production staff including the Production Technician and Event Services leads -- coordinates the scheduling of services managed by fellow producers, such as ROCK X load-in/out, lighting, event staff and other internal resources required to produce the celebration.

  • Oversee the production of events; meet with internal and external production teams prior to events to ensure all details are ready to go ‘live.’

  • Work closely with Event Manager to maximize efficient and cost-effective use of space.

  • Respond to ROCK X inquiries from Corporate Staff and Producers (in locations that provide ROCK X services)

  • Serve as primary point of contact for staff, rental members and contractors during event planning and serve as event lead when appropriate.

  • Manage production staff schedule with checklists, and all pre-planning duties for client in the months leading up to the celebration. Schedule meetings for producers and event manager/production manager to ensure all details are secure.

  • Assist with development of department operations budget and provide cost information to internal clients/members and reports to corporate team.

  • Inventory, maintain, and purchase all event production tools and operations supplies, equipment, lighting and furniture.  

  • Conduct orientation and training for new producers and safety policies when setting up and designing ROCK X to company design standards.

  • Teaching all Event Producers the Production Etiquette to ROCKNEVENTS & JENNY CHANG standards

  • Conduct post-event evaluation meetings to identify areas of improvement. Revise procedures as needed and in response to changing conditions.

  • Ensure ROCK X spaces are tidy, organized, up-to-date, and ensure safe working conditions and implement healthy and safety policies in daily, weekly and monthly production settings.


Experience and knowledge that demonstrates possession of the necessary knowledge and abilities for this position is required as noted:

  • Ability to deliver results, facilitate and influence others and problem solve beyond temporary solutions

  • A minimum of two years working in an operational capacity for hospitality

  • Associate degree in Hospitality or Business or related field preferred

  • Two years of relevant supervisory experience required

  • Strong customer service skills and orientation

  • Strong management and organizational skills working in a team-oriented environment

  • Strong communications, coaching, motivational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver in terms of execution. Successful coordination of multiple projects and activities is a must

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Cultural competency; experience and/or ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse, multicultural audience. Multilingual ability, Spanish fluency a plus

  • Cultural Institution or Non-Profit experience a plus
